DECAP CHRONICLES: MONROE RETURN circa 5,200 AD

The Decap Monroe community was near extinction before returning from its virtual existence of 200,000 years. In flux, was the vexing issue of balancing population and relationships with economic prosperity. The upward population growth was tempered by the Decaps community control of relationships that challenged former definitions of male-female roles. In more advanced societies, these notions interplayed with the avant garde trend-setting by the paparazzi which indirectly became societal norms influencing population declines. In lesser developed countries, long standing family values and norms of masculinity maintained an upward population growth that outstripped economic gains. The gap between the societal evolution of the First World and the Third World’s stagnant relationship norms further the economic chasm of both worlds. GDP growth was more profoundly affected by population declines that placed downward pressures on unemployment, than those of any governmental monetary or fiscal policy. Unlike the former practices of The East command and control of population, The West sought control of its population through control of its societal norms by using its entertainment industry. These events played out for 200,000 years in the virtual realm of the Decaps Monroe community until the imbalance between the prosperity of the right-sized populated low-unemployment of the relationship-evolved world was overwhelmed by its overpopulated and underemployed counterparts.

RETRO-IMMERSION: 5200 AD

Sheila’s computer screen woke up from its sleep around 9:45PM. Her computer server was distributing the self-replicating media (SRM) of her new line of Pump shoes in Los Angeles. The wide patented arch design provided extra support and comfort. Part of the SRM advertising video clip featured excerpts of a women’s one hour basketball game with all players wearing her Pumps. Close up views of their feet revealed no bruises after the game. Sheila was really looking forward to the new exposure of the SRM redirected links to her website. The link featured an Avatar video experience of Ayesha Washington, the year’s lead female actress trying-out and purchasing several of her Pumps. In the virtual video, Ayesha could be seen in a sports bra, thigh-hugging shorts that revealed her alluring long and proportioned legs subtending in Sheila’s Pumps. The video embedded Ayesha on a basketball court, pitting women against historical basketball legends as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Byrd. Needless to say, the women in the Pumps won, having distracted the men from their form.

Her site SRM hits steadily rose from 9:30PM EST thru 10 PM. By 10:30PM, the Decaps communications system interupted her consciousness from its whereabouts. Sheila was transceneded to a computer screen. Her sales were at a screeching pitch of ten thousand Pumps per minute. She looked at her East Coast log that preceded the West Coast by three hours. A similar trend. Her sales forecast model for her Ayesha campaign predicted twelve million dollars in 2000 USD by weekend with an overall forty percent sales projection of one hundred and twenty million dollars in 2000 USD in six months. Sheila posted an auction of her campaign starting at two hundred million dollars on the SRM Stock Exchange. Consciously closing her Decaps link, she returned to the Amazon rainforest with her friend Ayesha.

Naked to the waist, Ayesha roamed the Amazon rainforest with her companion. Her humanoid was identically reproduced in the image and clothing of the tribal women. She stood five foot eight inches, barefooted, being dwarfed by her Hollywood Pumps’image by some six inches. Her South American experience was part of an immersion live broadcast role. The audience was able to tune in to her humanoid sensual expericence of its emvironment, experiencing sight, sound, felling, taste and smell. These sensations were communicated by the Decap communications system through Ayesha and Sheila's humanoids and redirected to a central distribution system for the audience shared experience.

In the pouring rain, she and her companion made their way towards the Tribal Village. In the depths of her mind, Ayesha heard a childhood song; a song familiar to her and one only. It took her back to being four years again, when she first met Sheila in Pre-K. It was their favorite request for their evening siesta, a song long since fallen from mainstream. Throughout the years, the two had kept it as their calling card.

Pausing below the branches in the pouring rain, the humanoids sat alongside a tree trunk, and from external appearances, went asleep. The Decaps secured communications channel was redirected to the humans physical locations; Ayesha’s LA mansion and Sheila’s Florida home.

“Will we ever grow up? I think we need a new song!” Ayesha was her playful self upon hearing their song.

“As promised, that would be the day you are married!” Sheila responded.

“Well this is a fine change from being soaked to the bone. Maybe a fine Eiyouian tribesman would find our bodies and warm us up tonight.”

“I am sure that’s what any sensible Eiyouian woman is enjoing now, but time out for our campaign. It is off to a rolling start with projections of one hundred and twenty million dollars in six months. I set an auction on the SRM Exchange starting at two hundred million dollars. That is just featuring your line of ten Pumps with our option to create more in your name. If you can interrupt your tryst and conscious a signature, I can begin the auction. Content provider contract details are within the SRM disclosure for your review. I have been monitoring the sales trends and they are very brisk. Europe or Asia may be in play for three hundred million dollars by morning’s end translating to sixty million dollars for you. I anticipate the auction will be wrapped up in two days.”

“OK, no sense in holding up production for a romp in the forest. See ya at my bash in two weeks, gotta introduce you to some guys so we can change that silly song!”

“Of course it would be your song!”

Within moments of the interruption, Ayesha’s and Sheila's consciousness reverted from their civilized surroundings to the South American rainforest at night. In the clearing from their positions she and Sheila could see the outline of the tribal encampment. The half mile trek from the government’s outpost to the village was a transition across eons. Ayesha fell into her character role as if having a movie take. For the next week, the Decaps communications system would translate their language, mannerism, expressions through their humanoids into the Eiyou lifestyle while maintaining their identity. Stepping into the village, the two women were knowingly greeted by the tribal watchman.

"Greetings, sisters, your coming has long been waited."
