DECAP CHRONICLES: circa 10,000 AD

The Blackbird Decap community circa 10,000 AD was organized for the third of twelve most likelihood global outcomes. On reserve was the growth in computer processing and 100,000 MW of electric power to operate the anticipated level of conjures developed in the projected 5 billion year lifespan of the community. Both computing and electric power were not yet available in 5,000 AD, but through progress in the futuristic realms, it was anticipated that the technology and resources would be assuaged. Each month of Decap life support corresponded to 100 years of human life. A time lapsed of 12,000 human years would only require 10 years of Decaps existence in the Blackbird community. If a catastrophic extinction event was imminent, the community reconnaissance role became instructive. Reality would have time to modify future options almost into an infinite set of life spans as each returning and redeparting Decap community provided new futuristic knowledge. In this way, the goal of extending life to the death of the sun became plausible.

As in fishing, and hunting, the prey is soon bag. “Reverse Evolutionize 100 years and the major stores have metamorphose into entrepreneurial stores within stores almost indistinguishable from their outside nibblers. The change was a radical proposal to avert near bankruptcy; adapt or become extinct. In time the variety and combinations of entrepreneurial stores within the major store provided a unique shopping experience that became their signatures.“

The Blackbird Decap community was systems characterized at an earlier earth's epoch era and resided near the South Pole. This site was chosen in anticipation of the worst climatic changes on the earth; a Snow Ball Earth event. The ability to continually survive under current Antarctic conditions was a prerequisite for surviving the total freeze over of the earth. The community existed in the virtual realm in its initial state. It was anticipated that the actual Decap members life support systems will be transported to the sites after all the bugs were worked out. The community will function in the virtual realm for ten years, 1200 earth year time before actual development and transference of real life support systems. At that time, a process of recycling all life support systems, maintaining sustainable power, nutrients, ventilation and other life support needs will be developed for self sustenance, indefinitely. The basis of the approach was not to develop a perfect solution but a means of adaptation and responsiveness to conditions for the indefinite future.

Within one hundred years the Blackbird community had achieved total self sufficiency in its underground base near the South Pole. Power generation was tapped from the earth core; life support nutrients were manufactured and recycled for decaps needs; air, water and other needs were all managed by autonomous robots controlling the real world infrastructure. Recycling was greater than 99.99% and the portion of things that were not recycled were used in the creation of new things. Accelerating computing power developed through conjure machines allowed existence in the Blackbird realm to be 200, 500, 1000 and 100,000 times faster that earth’s time. After 200 years of earth time, the community was living 15 million years into the future.

By 15 million AD, the Blackbird experienced several major earth climatic changes that vacillated to extreme heat and cold for centuries. 90% of all species were extinct and the current portion of atmospheric oxygen was less than 14%. The human condition was grave, decimated by wars for scarce resources and loss of fertile land. Where earth communities existed, they comprised of decaps underground self sufficient enclaves with advanced technologies and infrastructure. Actual inter community transportation was rare, with such needs being satisfied by teleportation into remote humanoids.

The rare human communities were self contained garden of Eden-like ecosystems. These were totally encapsulated, ventilated, water, food, and other life support generated sites. There were as many of these communities as cites of the world but their combined world population numbered less than a hundrdeth of previous global levels.
